    Two Iberian Coasts

    Duration14 Days
    CountryPortugal, Spain

"Two Iberian Coasts" spans three cities in two countries, opening with five nights in Barcelona — the Sagrada Família, Park Güell, a Costa Catalana kayak day — before a short domestic connection to five nights in Lisbon, built around Belém, Sintra's hillside palaces and a fado-soundtracked sunset cruise on the Tagus. Your group closes with three nights in Porto, from the Ribeira waterfront to the Livraria Lello.

    Day by Day

    1

    Day 1

    Barcelona (Arrival)

Arrival and transfer to the hotel are followed by a welcome icebreaker bingo, mixing table groups so the group starts meeting each other from day one. An orientation walk through the neighbourhood, with a first look at Las Ramblas, closes the evening ahead of the week in Barcelona.

    2

    Day 2

Barcelona — Gaudí and the Gothic Quarter

A guided visit covers the interior of the Sagrada Família, followed by a hands-on geometry workshop connecting Gaudí's structural forms to the school curriculum. In the afternoon, teams compete in a timed gymkhana through the Barri Gòtic — clue trails and history questions scored live — before the group's first Barcelona dinner together.

    3

    Day 3

Barcelona — Park Güell and the City by Night

The morning is spent at Park Güell, Gaudí's terraced park above the city, followed by a guided bike tour through central Barcelona's streets and seafront promenade. The evening turns social, with a group dance class before free time, supervised, near the hotel.

    4

    Day 4

    Costa Catalana (Full-Day Excursion)

A full day on the Costa Catalana brings team kayaking and paddle-surfing in its coves, run as a scored leadership challenge that rotates who leads each small crew. The group returns to Barcelona for a farewell dinner, closing out the coastal day before the final Barcelona morning ahead.

    5

    Day 5

Barcelona — Montjuïc and Departure for Lisbon

Montjuïc's hilltop gardens and views over the port open the morning, followed by a hands-on Catalan cooking workshop. In the afternoon, teams kick off a short project to present later in the trip, before transferring to the airport for the flight to Lisbon — a domestic connection booked and arranged separately, not included in this program.

    6

    Day 6

    Lisbon (Arrival)

A transfer from the airport reaches the Lisbon hotel, where check-in is followed by a light-hearted "false friends" language game, comparing Portuguese and Spanish words that look alike but mean different things. An orientation walk through the surrounding streets closes the evening ahead of the week's first full Lisbon day.

    7

    Day 7

Lisbon — Belém and LX Factory

Belém's riverside monuments frame the morning, followed by a hands-on pastéis de nata workshop where the group learns to make Lisbon's signature pastry. The afternoon continues by tram to LX Factory, the city's converted industrial quarter, now full of studios, shops and street art.

    8

    Day 8

    Sintra (Full-Day Excursion)

A full-day excursion reaches Sintra, the hillside town of palaces above Lisbon, for a guided visit through its landscaped grounds and colourful architecture. The group returns to Lisbon in the evening, with free time before dinner after a day spent largely outdoors and on foot.

    9

    Day 9

Cascais — Surf and the Atlantic

A coach transfer reaches Cascais, on the Atlantic coast west of Lisbon, for a group surf lesson with qualified instructors. The afternoon turns competitive, with a set of beach olympics — relay races and team games along the sand — before the return to Lisbon for the evening.

    10

    Day 10

Lisbon — Alfama and a Sunset on the Tagus

Alfama's steep lanes and the Castelo de São Jorge open the day, followed by a gastronomic gymkhana through the neighbourhood's markets and pastelarias, teams scoring points for what they find and taste. The day closes on the water, with a sunset cruise on the Tagus and a live fado performance on board.

    11

    Day 11

    Lisbon to Porto (Travel Day)

An Alfa Pendular train, about two hours and fifty minutes, connects Lisbon to Porto, reaching the city in time for check-in and an orientation walk through the streets near the hotel. The evening is free, supervised, ahead of two full days exploring Porto.

    12

    Day 12

Porto — The Ribeira and the Douro

A walking visit covers the Ribeira, Porto's riverside old town, and the Dom Luís I bridge, the ironwork crossing designed in the era of Gustave Eiffel. In the afternoon, the group boards a Seis Pontes river cruise along the Douro, taking in all six of the city's bridges from the water.

    13

    Day 13

Porto — Livraria Lello and a Farewell

A visit to the Livraria Lello, one of the world's most photographed bookshops, opens the day, followed by a workshop on the city's azulejo tile tradition and a guided tasting. The trip closes with a final round of team presentations and a farewell dinner, marking the end of the three-city circuit.

    14

    Day 14

    Departure

Breakfast and packing are followed by the transfer to Porto Airport, closing a fourteen-day circuit that opened on Barcelona's Las Ramblas, crossed by air to Lisbon's riverside neighbourhoods, and finished among the bridges and bookshops of Porto.
