    Milan & Florence Fashion Trail

    Duration15 Days
    CountryItaly

From the Quadrilatero della Moda to the textile district of Prato, this fifteen-day fashion programme treats Milan and Florence as a working studio rather than a catwalk. Your group alternates college-led field research — retail routes, fabric markets, moodboarding, a sustainability seminar — with included visits: an official Duomo tour, a luxury archive, a designer talk and a technical production visit, closing with a student-run showcase in Milan.

    Day by Day

    1

    Day 1

    Arrival in the Fashion Capital

Your group lands at Milan Malpensa Airport, where a private transfer is waiting for the run into the city and check-in at the accommodation. The rest of the day stays free for a first stroll through the streets of Milan, getting a feel for the fashion capital before the programme starts in earnest. Dinner is included this evening. Overnight in Milan.

    2

    Day 2

    Fashion Heritage & the Duomo

After breakfast the college staff lead a self-guided 'Fashion Heritage' walk through the Quadrilatero della Moda, the block of streets where Italian luxury houses keep their flagship windows, and on through the glass-vaulted Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Packed lunch, then the included highlight of the day: an official guided tour of the Milan Duomo and its intricate Gothic detail. Dinner and overnight in Milan.

    3

    Day 3

Retail Routes in Brera & Corso Como

The second self-guided day turns to retail strategy. Led by the teachers, the students walk the bohemian Brera district and the cutting-edge boutiques of Corso Como, analysing visual merchandising and store layouts as they go, with a packed lunch carried along the route. The comparison between an artisan neighbourhood and a concept-store street gives the group its first field notes. Dinner and overnight in Milan.

    4

    Day 4

    Luxury Archive & Pasta Masterclass

After breakfast the group traces the historical evolution of Italian style with an included group entrance to either the Palazzo Morando Costume Museum or Armani/Silos. Packed lunch follows, and the afternoon changes register entirely with an included, interactive Italian pasta-making masterclass, a hands-on break from the fashion brief. Dinner and overnight in Milan.

    5

    Day 5

    Fabric Markets & Moodboarding

The morning heads to Milan's textile and yarn markets, the Via Fauché street market or the Navigli canal district, where the students handle raw materials and see how traditional sourcing works at stall level. Packed lunch, then the group takes over the hostel's classroom or common area for a Styling and Moodboarding Workshop, with all creative materials for the session included. Dinner and overnight in Milan.

    6

    Day 6

    Industry Insights from a Designer

Today's included session is an exclusive private talk with a local entrepreneur or emerging designer, a realistic look at the modern fashion business, brand creation and industry networking, with time for the students' questions. The rest of the day is free for independent exploration of Milan, or for the optional excursion to the Biella wool district in Piedmont, bookable separately. Packed lunch, dinner and overnight in Milan.

    7

    Day 7

    Private Coach to Florence

After breakfast the group leaves the modern metropolis behind and travels south by private coach through the Italian countryside towards Florence, with a packed lunch for the road. On arrival and check-in at the accommodation, the rest of the day is completely free to explore the historic centre on foot, from the cathedral to the Arno, before dinner. Overnight in Florence.

    8

    Day 8

    Prato Technical Production Visit

The private coach takes the group out to the outskirts of Florence and into Prato, one of the largest textile manufacturing districts in Europe. Here the included technical visit enters an industrial dry cleaner or a prototyping workshop, showing the students the highly technical processes that sit behind garment production. Packed lunch, then the return transfer to Florence in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Florence.

    9

    Day 9

    Sustainability in Fashion Seminar

The morning is reserved for a Sustainability in Fashion Seminar, led and hosted by the college staff in the accommodation's communal spaces, with a packed lunch to follow. The afternoon stays completely free for the students to discover Florence's artisanal leathercraft heritage on their own, or to join the optional visit to the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum in Palazzo Spini Feroni, bookable separately. Dinner and overnight in Florence.

    10

    Day 10

    Florence Luxury Archives

A completely free day in Florence, built around the city's luxury brand archives. The recommended use of the day is a visit to a fashion house museum such as the Gucci Garden in Palazzo della Mercanzia or the Ferragamo Museum, with entrance tickets purchased independently or arranged as an optional tour. Breakfast and a packed lunch are included as on every full day of the programme. Dinner and overnight in Florence.

    11

    Day 11

    Vintage Sourcing & Upcycling

A second full free day dedicated to field research. The students are encouraged to navigate the bustling San Lorenzo markets and Florence's curated vintage boutiques on their own, sourcing unique pieces and gathering inspiration for future upcycling projects back at college. Packed lunches keep the day flexible, and the evening gathers everyone again for dinner. Overnight in Florence.

    12

    Day 12

    Return to the Runway

After breakfast the group boards the private coach for the return journey north from Florence to Milan, packed lunch on board. On arrival and check-in, the afternoon is free to rest, to work on ongoing fashion portfolios or to begin preparations for the end-of-year showcase that closes the trip. Dinner and overnight in Milan.

    13

    Day 13

    Visual Merchandising & Summer Sales

A free day in Milan timed to the official start of the Italian summer sales, the Saldi. The students use it to study high-end visual merchandising and consumer behaviour at flagship stores and iconic retail spaces such as La Rinascente, watching how luxury handles discount season. The optional guided visit to the 10 Corso Como concept store, bookable separately, fits this day. Dinner and overnight in Milan.

    14

    Day 14

    The Final Showcase

The climax of the educational trip: the students host their own End-of-Year Fashion Show in a local public park or an open-air square in Milan, a completely free, student-led event that celebrates two weeks of work across Milan and Florence. Breakfast and packed lunch are included, leaving the timetable to the college. The final evening in Milan closes with dinner. Overnight in Milan.

    15

    Day 15

    Arrivederci Italy

After breakfast, and depending on the flight schedule, the group enjoys its final free moments in Milan before the private coach collects everyone at the accommodation for the transfer to Milan Malpensa Airport and the return journey home. Fifteen days across Milan, Florence and Prato close here, with portfolios, moodboards and a finished fashion show to take back to college. End of our services.
