    About this Destination

Your DMC in Slovenia for group travel

Slovenia works as a standalone short program or as a bridge between Venice, Zagreb, Salzburg and the Croatian coast. Ljubljana, Bled and the Postojna–Predjama axis sit within 90 minutes of each other, keeping coach days short. BRACAP handles ground operations, permits and coordination for B2B partners.

    Why BRACAP Here

Ljubljana's pedestrian core and Bled's shuttle rules dictate how you build the coach day

Ljubljana's old town is car-free, so groups drop at Kongresni trg or Petkovškovo nabrežje and walk in; coaches park at the P+R lots or the AMZS depot. Bled restricts large coaches from the lakefront, so pletna boats and electric shuttles cover the last stretch. Postojna Cave has fixed train departures with per-slot capacity — book ahead April–October. The A1/A2 motorways carry a vignette (coaches pay by axle at gantries), and the Karawanks and Predor Ljubelj tunnels are the main Austria links.

    Frequently Asked

    Common Questions

Can large coaches reach Bled lakefront?
No. Coaches over standard size are kept off the immediate lakefront and use designated lots such as Kolodvorska and the Bled Jezero area. Groups transfer by electric shuttle or walk in, and reach the island only by pletna boat, so build in transfer time.
How does Postojna Cave capacity work for groups?
Entry is by timed departure on the cave train, each with limited seats. Group slots sell out in July–August and around holidays, so we reserve well in advance and confirm exact departure times before you finalise the coach day.
What are the coach costs and vignette rules?
Slovenia uses electronic toll for vehicles over 3.5t, charged by axle count and emission class at motorway gantries — no windscreen sticker for coaches. Costs are billed to the operator; we factor them into transport quotes so there are no surprises at the border.
How easy are cross-border links from Slovenia?
Very. Austria via the Karawanks tunnel, Italy via Trieste, and Croatia via Bregana/Obrežje are all short hops. Slovenia and Croatia are both Schengen since 2023, so internal checks are minimal, though spot controls can occur at peak periods.
Are English-speaking guides available for group sizes?
Yes. We provide licensed guides in English and other languages; Slovenian licensing applies at sites like the caves and Ljubljana Castle. For large parties we split into guided sub-groups to meet site rules and keep pacing comfortable.
When should we avoid for group logistics?
Mid-July to late August strains Bled and Bohinj parking, boat schedules and hotel availability. December weekends fill for Christmas markets. For smoother coach flow and easier accommodation blocks, May, June and September are the strongest windows.
