    Duration8 Days
    CountrySpain

Designed to wrap around a school's own Spanish lessons, this eight-day programme gives your group the cities themselves: the Prado and a Retiro Park gymkhana in Madrid, a cookery class that becomes dinner, the Mezquita-Catedral and a flamenco dinner show in Córdoba, and a flamenco workshop in Seville. Trains link the three bases, city travelcards cover the rest, and dinner is included every night.

    Day by Day

    1

    Day 1

    Arrival & the Gran Vía

Your group lands at Madrid airport, where a BRACAP representative handles the meet and greet before a private transfer to a central hotel near the Gran Vía, with multi-share rooms for the students and single rooms for the teachers. Four-day travelcards are issued to everyone, and the afternoon stays free for a first feel of the streets around the hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant closes the day. Overnight in Madrid.

    2

    Day 2

    Classes & the Historic Centre

The morning is set aside for Spanish language classes, arranged directly by the school and not included in BRACAP's services, so your group's own timetable runs alongside the itinerary. In the afternoon an official guide leads a two-hour walk through Madrid's historic centre, tracing the streets between the Plaza Mayor and the Puerta del Sol. Dinner at a local restaurant closes the second day. Overnight in Madrid.

    3

    Day 3

The Prado & a Retiro Gymkhana

After a morning at the Museo Nacional del Prado, where an official guide leads your group through one of the great collections of European painting, the afternoon moves outdoors. In Retiro Park a second official guide runs a gymkhana through the gardens and around the lake, a playful counterpoint to the museum galleries. Dinner at a local restaurant closes the day. Overnight in Madrid.

    4

    Day 4

    A Spanish Kitchen Afternoon

The programme leaves the morning open, with the travelcards covering any independent moves around the city. In the afternoon your group heads to a cookery school in Madrid, splitting into two smaller groups for a hands-on class in which students and teachers prepare a Spanish menu together. What they cook becomes the evening's dinner, closing the last full day in the capital before the train south to Córdoba. Overnight in Madrid.

    5

    Day 5

    By Train to Córdoba

A final morning of Spanish classes, arranged by the school and not included, precedes the departure from Madrid. A private transfer takes your group to Atocha station for the train to Córdoba, where a transfer runs from the station to a hotel with breakfast included, triple and double rooms for the students and singles for the teachers, plus three-day travelcards. The first Andalusian evening closes with a flamenco show and dinner. Overnight in Córdoba.

    6

    Day 6

    Mezquita & the Jewish Quarter

Breakfast at the hotel, then a half-day official guide leads your group through the Mezquita-Catedral of Córdoba, with an audio guide for everyone and entrance included for the whole group, before continuing into the lanes of the Jewish Quarter. The afternoon is free, with entrance arranged at Casa Rubio for those who want to explore further. Dinner at a local restaurant closes the day. Overnight in Córdoba.

    7

    Day 7

    Seville & a Flamenco Workshop

After breakfast a transfer takes your group to Córdoba's AVE station for the train to Seville, then from the station to a hostel with six- and four-bed rooms for the students and twin and single rooms for the teachers, plus one-day travelcards. In the afternoon a flamenco workshop at a local studio introduces the group to footwork and rhythm, and a last dinner at a local restaurant closes the day. Overnight in Seville.

    8

    Day 8

    Departure from Seville

On the final morning a private transfer collects your group at the hostel and runs to Seville airport, where the programme ends. Eight days across Madrid, Córdoba and Seville close here: three guided visits, two flamenco experiences, a cookery class and a dinner every night, all linked by train down the spine of Spain. End of our services.
