    Barcelona: Engineering the Future

    Duration4 Days
    CountrySpain

Four days in Barcelona read the city as an engineering case study rather than a sightseeing stop. Your group moves from the baggage systems of El Prat airport to a university seminar, the SEAT production lines at Martorell and Gaudí's Sagrada Família, before closing in the 22@ District, where former industrial land now hosts the city's smart-city model.

    Day by Day

    1

    Day 1

    Arrival & El Prat Logistics

Your group lands at Barcelona-El Prat, where our team is waiting in the arrivals hall for the meet and greet before the private coach transfer. The programme opens on site with a technical visit to the AENA facilities, walking the airfield and the automated baggage-handling system to understand how an international hub runs its logistics. Transfer to the hostel, check-in and a welcome dinner. Overnight in Barcelona.

    2

    Day 2

    University Session & SEAT Martorell

After breakfast the group travels by private coach to a Barcelona university for a technical session on a topic to be agreed. The afternoon moves to Martorell for a technical immersion in the SEAT factory, where students follow the shift of the car industry towards electrification, robotic automation and the demands of 4.0 logistics on a large-scale production line. Dinner and overnight in Barcelona.

    3

    Day 3

Gaudí's Engineering & the Gothic Quarter

Breakfast, then a morning at the Sagrada Família, where an official guide sets out Gaudí's structural engineering and the technical management model behind the basilica. A three-and-a-half-hour walking tour follows through the Gothic Quarter and along Las Ramblas, with a stop in front of Palau Güell to study how Modernisme broke into the medieval fabric, ending on the waterfront by the Columbus Monument. Dinner and overnight in Barcelona.

    4

    Day 4

    22@ District & Departure

Breakfast, then a final technical immersion in the 22@ District with a specialist guide. Your group studies Europe's most significant urban regeneration project, following the conversion of former industrial land into an energy-efficient technology hub and the way startups and research centres coexist with the social fabric of Poblenou, Barcelona's smart-city model in practice. At the agreed time, private coach transfer to Barcelona-El Prat for the journey home. End of our services.
