Lisbon & Faro Under the Lens
What happens to a historic quarter when its residents leave and only the façade stays? Lisbon's contested streets and the UNESCO district of Belém open this three-day field study, before your group crosses the Alentejo to Faro, where the walled Old Town and a building under adaptive reuse are read as a business case. Site visits run as guided analysis and group dinners double as working sessions.

Day 1
Lisbon Arrival & Urban Biopsy
Your group lands at Lisbon Airport, where our team is waiting to open the programme, and transfers to the accommodation for check-in. The afternoon becomes an urban biopsy of a capital under extreme pressure, walking contrasting neighbourhoods to see the 'Disneyfication' of historic cores at first hand: is a quarter that keeps its look but loses its residents still a living culture? A group dinner deconstructs the day's observations. Overnight in Lisbon.
Day 2
Belém & the Road to Faro
After breakfast your group heads to the Belém waterfront to dissect the logistics of a high-volume UNESCO district, studying how the quarter around the Jerónimos Monastery and Belém Tower absorbs millions of visitors without crumbling under its fame. A private coach carries the group south through the heart of the Alentejo, Portugal's 'Golden Plains', with a stop at a panoramic viewpoint. A group dinner closes the day. Overnight in Faro.
Day 3
Faro Old Town & the ROI of Ruins
Following breakfast, a guided walking tour leads your group through Faro's walled Vila Adentro to read how its ancient walls and cobbled streets have been preserved for centuries. The morning culminates inside a historic architectural site undergoing adaptive reuse, a session on the intersection of return on investment and heritage and on the public-private partnerships that restoring historic buildings demands. A direct private transfer delivers the group to Faro Airport, closing the programme.
