"Catalonia, Coast to Cloister" pairs Barcelona's Gaudí landmarks and its 22@ innovation district with two day trips rarely combined on a student program: Montserrat's mountain monastery and Girona's medieval quarter, now known as a Game of Thrones filming location. Your group spends its final three nights on the Costa Brava for guided kayaking and a stop in Sitges, before returning to Barcelona for departure.

    Day by Day

    1

    Day 1

    Barcelona (Arrival)

A private coach meets your group at El Prat Airport for the transfer to the hotel, in the Sagrada Família/Poblenou area, close to the metro and the beach. Check-in comes with a welcome orientation — group rules, safety, currency, a few first words of Catalan and Spanish — before an easy, no-agenda walk around the neighbourhood closes with the group's first night photo on Las Ramblas.

    2

    Day 2

Gaudí, Modernism and an Urban Gymkhana

A guided morning covers the interior of the Sagrada Família and a walk down Passeig de Gràcia past Casa Batlló and La Pedrera, finishing at Park Güell. In the afternoon, teams compete in a timed gymkhana through the Barri Gòtic and El Born — clue trails, photo challenges and history questions scored live — before a group dinner closes the day.

    3

    Day 3

    Technology, Beach and the Mediterranean

The morning walk through 22@, Barcelona's reconverted industrial district, traces how a manufacturing zone became a hub for startups and innovation. The afternoon turns to the beach at Barceloneta, with organised beach volleyball, and the evening brings a group dance class in Latin and sevillanas rhythms before dinner.

    4

    Day 4

Montserrat — Nature, Geology and Heritage

A coach transfer, about an hour, reaches Montserrat, where a rack railway or cable car climbs to the Benedictine monastery. The afternoon continues on an easy-to-moderate hiking trail across the mountain's conglomerate rock, with viewpoints over Catalonia and a group picnic, before the return to Barcelona for a free, supervised evening.

    5

    Day 5

Barcelona to Girona — Medieval History and Game of Thrones

A coach transfer, roughly an hour and twenty minutes, reaches Girona for a guided walk through the old town — the Cathedral, the city walls and the Call, one of Europe's best-preserved medieval Jewish quarters. The afternoon follows a themed route through Girona's Game of Thrones filming locations before the group transfers on to the Costa Brava for the night.

    6

    Day 6

Costa Brava — Water Sports and Coastal Nature

A guided kayak and snorkel session introduces a Costa Brava cove near Platja d'Aro, with panoramic-mask snorkelling over the Mediterranean seabed. The afternoon is free for paddle surfing and a stretch of the Camí de Ronda coastal path, and the evening closes with a beachfront barbecue dinner.

    7

    Day 7

Costa Brava to Sitges to Barcelona — A Modernist Town and a Farewell by the Sea

A coastal transfer reaches Sitges for a walk through its old town — the church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla and the "indiano" mansions built by returning emigrants. A themed gymkhana, designed for the group's age range, fills the afternoon alongside free time on the beach, before the transfer back to Barcelona for a farewell dinner with a group talent night.

    8

    Day 8

    Barcelona — Closing and Departure

The morning is free for last-minute shopping along Passeig de Gràcia, followed by a closing session where each team presents, in two to three minutes, their favourite moment or lesson from the trip. In the afternoon, a private transfer takes the group to El Prat Airport; the international flight home is arranged separately by the school or its agency.
