    Tenerife Heritage & Starlight

    Duration3 Days
    CountrySpain

Three days on Tenerife trace a line from the colonial grid of La Laguna to the renewable-energy labs of ITER, with an evening under the protected skies of Teide in between. Your group reads the island as a case study in adaptation: a UNESCO street plan that shaped the Americas, the Guanche Shepherd's Leap and a Starlight-guided observation among volcanic formations, then a closing technical visit on renewable energy.

    Day by Day

    1

    Day 1

Arrival & La Laguna's Colonial Grid

Your group lands at the airport on Tenerife, where the Tour Manager is waiting, and private transport heads straight to San Cristóbal de La Laguna. A technical tour of this UNESCO World Heritage site, the world's first non-fortified Spanish colonial city, analyses the grid layout that went on to shape city planning across the Americas. The group then transfers to the accommodation for check-in and a welcome dinner. Overnight in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

    2

    Day 2

    Shepherd's Leap & Teide Starlight

After breakfast a cultural session centres on the Salto del Pastor or Shepherd's Leap: practitioners demonstrate and explain the Guanche technique for crossing volcanic ravines on a long lance. The group then ascends to Teide National Park, explores its volcanic formations before sunset and shares a picnic dinner in the lunar landscape. After dark an official Starlight Guide leads an astronomical observation under one of the planet's clearest skies. Overnight in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

    3

    Day 3

    ITER Renewable Energy & Departure

The final morning pivots from ancient traditions to future sustainability. After breakfast and check-out, the private coach carries the group to ITER, the Instituto Tecnológico y de Energías Renovables, for a technical visit to a leading research facility on the island: wind farms, advanced photovoltaic plants and an innovative bioclimatic housing laboratory seen at first hand. After the visit the group is transferred back to the airport for departure, closing the programme.
