Tuscany rewards travellers who slow down. Renaissance Florence and the medieval lanes of Siena anchor this 7-day journey through the region's golden heart — Uffizi masterpieces, Chianti cellars, hilltop towers and hands-on encounters with Tuscan cooking that you simply cannot arrange without the right local connections.
Day by Day
Day 1
Arrival in Florence
Your group arrives at Florence Airport, where your BRACAP Tour Manager is waiting with a private transfer to a charming 4★ hotel in the historic centre. The afternoon is free to wander — cross the Ponte Vecchio, admire the Duomo's marble façade or find a café on Piazza della Signoria. In the evening, a welcome dinner brings everyone together over Tuscan classics.
Day 2
Florence — Cradle of the Renaissance
The morning opens with a guided visit to the Uffizi Gallery, where Botticelli's Birth of Venus and works by Leonardo and Caravaggio hang just steps apart. After lunch near the Mercato Centrale, the afternoon continues on foot through Piazza del Duomo and the Oltrarno's artisan workshops. The evening is free to enjoy Florence at its own unhurried pace.
Day 3
The Chianti Wine Road
A day among the vineyards of the Chianti hills, following the SR222 wine road south through Greve and Castellina. At a family-run estate, your group tours the cellars and sits down to a Chianti Classico wine tasting paired with pecorino, salumi and estate olive oil. Lunch is taken among the vines before the coach rolls back to Florence for the night.
Day 4
San Gimignano & the Road to Siena
Leaving Florence behind, the coach climbs to San Gimignano, the walled hill town whose medieval towers — fourteen of an original seventy-two still stand — earned it UNESCO World Heritage status. A guided walk threads through the towers to Piazza della Cisterna, with time for the town's famous saffron and Vernaccia wine. In the afternoon your group continues south to Siena, home for the next three nights.
Day 5
Siena & the Piazza del Campo
Siena reveals itself slowly, and today is dedicated to it. The morning explores the shell-shaped Piazza del Campo — stage of the historic Palio horse race — the Torre del Mangia and the striped marble Duomo. After lunch in the lanes of the old contrade, the afternoon brings a cooking class with a local chef: your group rolls fresh pici pasta and learns the secrets of Tuscan sauces before tasting the results together.
Day 6
Truffles, Woods & a Tuscan Farewell
A private truffle hunting experience takes your group into the oak woods with an expert hunter and his trained dogs, searching out one of Tuscany's most prized delicacies — a seasonal pursuit at its peak from autumn to early winter, with summer truffles in the warmer months. The afternoon is free back in Siena before a farewell dinner celebrates the week's discoveries.
Day 7
Farewell Tuscany & Departure
After a final Tuscan breakfast there is time for a last stroll through Siena's lanes before your BRACAP Tour Manager coordinates all transfers to Florence Airport. The team assists with check-in and luggage, leaving your group with the flavours, landscapes and memories of seven remarkable days in Tuscany.
