Day 1
Arrival & the Lisbon Case Study
Your group lands at Lisbon Airport, where our team is waiting to open the programme, and checks in at the accommodation. The group then heads out for an urban biopsy of a capital under extreme pressure, walking contrasting neighbourhoods to see the 'Disneyfication' of historic cores at first hand: living culture, or high-end theme park? A group dinner over local flavours deconstructs the day's observations. Overnight in Lisbon.
Day 2
Coimbra University & Aveiro Northbound
After breakfast the private coach heads north, stopping first at the University of Coimbra, UNESCO-listed and among the world's oldest. Your group dissects how it manages high-volume global tourism without compromising its role as a centre of knowledge; the interior visit to the Joanina Library is an optional supplement. Following breakfast, a walking tour covers Porto's Ribeira district and historic centre, focusing on the city's landmark architecture and the art of Portuguese azulejos. At a wine boutique your group tastes and analyses how wine certifications are being used as premium branding tools to pivot the Douro region away from mass production toward a high-value, sustainable future. In the afternoon a private transfer delivers the group to Porto Airport for departure.
