    About this Destination

Greece sits at a particular sweet spot for group travel: an extraordinary density of UNESCO-listed antiquity (Acropolis, Delphi, Olympia, Mycenae, Knossos) combined with the Aegean island experience that nothing else in Europe matches. BRACAP has operated group programmes through Greece for over 12 years, including the logistics of ferry-and-island circuits that few non-specialist DMCs handle well.

    Why BRACAP Here

    Ferry Logistics, Done Properly

Greek group travel sounds simple until you discover that a missed ferry connection from Piraeus to Santorini can derail an entire programme. BRACAP's Athens DMC partner specialises in island circuit logistics — confirmed group ferry reservations, contingency planning for weather cancellations, luggage transfer between island hotels, and senior-suitable transfers from port to property. We do not offload these problems onto our partners.

    Frequently Asked

    Common Questions

How does BRACAP handle island ferry logistics for groups?
Through our Athens DMC partner we hold confirmed group ferry reservations months in advance, coordinate luggage transfer port-to-hotel, and maintain a weather-cancellation contingency plan (which has been invoked perhaps four times in ten years — Greek ferries are reliable but not infallible). For senior groups we use private water-taxi transfers from port to property.
Is Greece safe for school groups?
Yes. Athens and the main tourist areas are very safe; pickpocketing in central Athens is the main risk (BRACAP briefs groups on this). English is widely spoken at hotels and tourist sites. Greek hospitality toward students is warm and patient.
What is the best season for an island circuit?
May, June and September. April can have unreliable ferry weather; July–August are hot and crowded; October is operable but cooler with shorter daylight. Avoid Greek Easter week (variable dates) and August 15th (Assumption — major holiday with hotel and ferry capacity issues) unless specifically planning around them.
Can BRACAP arrange a Greece + Turkey programme?
Yes, though we recommend confirming current visa requirements and political conditions. The classic 'Aegean Crossings' programme adds Istanbul and the Aegean coast of Turkey (Ephesus, Pamukkale) onto a Greek mainland or island circuit. BRACAP handles cross-border logistics including ferry routes from the Dodecanese to Bodrum.
